As a former police officer and volunteer Fire/Rescue member, current.y a police and sheriff's chaplain, deputy sheriff, VBCERT Community Emergency Response Team and CISM, Critical Incident Stress Management member, I realize too well the dangers, stress and problems that first responders face and experience. It is often the friendships, fellowship and "brothers/sisters" in these first responders, that we find others who can relate to what we all go thru. Stay safe, we want all of you to come home safe at the end of the shift and if you are bothered by some of the things you have to deal with, find a CISM or Chaplain that can listen and share. None of us can do it all alone, we need partners, back up and those who come along during or after the incident to give support.
