Just to let everyone know, Florida will add this year the Official
K9 Veterans Day - 13 March
The official K9 Corps was created March 13, 1942 and it is only fitting to declare March 13 as K9 Veterans Day. This honors Military dogs for their selfless service, while avoiding any objections one may have to dogs being included in the human Veterans Day.
Due to the war on terror, Customs Dogs, Search and Rescue Dogs, Border Patrol Dogs, Police Dogs, and Secret Service Dogs will be included with Military Dogs in this recognition. This will be an annual tribute and memorial to their as they too served, bled, and died.
